A day after Minecraft in Elden Ring, Cydonyx posted Skyrim played with Escape from Tarkov’s weapons, inventory grid and UI. It became one of the examples nearly every article about the trend reached for, and the one that angered Skyrim modders most. A second clip added Spider-Man.
What’s known
The clips show Tarkov’s models and interface drawn inside Skyrim’s engine. No code, build or write-up has been released, and the creator hasn’t said how it was made or which AI tools were involved. VGTimes listed it among the clips with no AI disclosure. Without a release, it’s impossible to tell how much of Tarkov’s behaviour is really running inside Skyrim and how much is models and UI on top.
Why it mattered
For Skyrim modders, who have spent more than a decade building inventory and weapon overhauls by hand, a two-game clip with no release came to stand for the trend’s worst habit: views first, a playable mod maybe never. It’s quoted in the backlash coverage alongside Minecraft in Elden Ring.
