How to try itHow to play SOLAR64 (Mario Kart 64 x Cruis'n Exotica) · about 10 minutes

SOLAR64 races on Mario Kart 64’s tracks with its items, characters, music and sounds, alongside all twelve main courses and the cars of Cruis’n Exotica, plus huge custom sky circuits. Races can be solo or online with up to eight players per room on the creator’s server, and the browser and desktop versions share the same lobby. There’s a browser edition (WebGL2, with touch controls and a home-screen app for phones), and builds for Windows and Linux, including compatibility builds for older GPUs.

It needs your own USA ROMs of both games, which are checked by their data and never uploaded. Optional racers are imported from your own discs: Sonic from the European Dreamcast Sonic Adventure, Shadow from the European Dreamcast Sonic Adventure 2, and Devil Jin from Tekken 5 (USA). There’s also The Flash, converted from a GTA V mod. None of that character data is included in the downloads.

SolarFren (solargen3 on Discord) posted it in the chasm Discord as “MK64 + Sonic + Shadow”. The earliest build named on its pages is 2026.10.11, and the downloads were at release 2026.10.13-r27 on 14 October. The source isn’t public and the site doesn’t say how it was made, so the technique and origin are unverified.

Not as of 14 October 2026. The creator's site offers browser, Windows and Linux builds, but no repository.
