What you can do

  • On foot you move with IW4L’s Rust rewrite of MW2’s player movement: sprint, jump, crouch, prone, mantle.
  • Create-a-Class: ACR, M4A1, UMP45 or Intervention, USP .45 or SPAS-12, and a perk from each tier.
  • MW2’s default controls, frags and smoke, a UAV after a 3-kill streak, enemies on the minimap when they fire.
  • J (or both sticks) drops you onto the Skate 3 engine’s board mid-match; get shot while skating and you are back on foot.

Aim down sights, recoil, bots, health regen and killstreaks (UAV, care package, airstrike). Inspired by 2009-era military shooters.

Can I play Shooter × Skate online for free?
Yes. MW2 x Skate runs in your browser with WebGPU (Chrome or Edge). It's free, there's no account, and you don't need any game files.
Is it made from the original games?
It contains no game files. On foot you move with IW4L’s open-source Rust rewrite of MW2’s player movement (Apache-2.0); the skating is the Skate 3 Rust engine (GPL-3.0) with its clean-room asset pack, where every texture, mesh and sound was regenerated. Guns use published MW2 numbers, menus and HUD are original, and gun sounds are synthesised.
