If Pikmin were in Ocarina of Time (notCHase)

Link plucks, throws and loses Pikmin across Hyrule in a 2024 Ship of Harkinian mod by notCHase. Shown on YouTube only; never released.

notCHase posted “If Pikmin were in Ocarina of Time” on YouTube on 22 September 2024, describing it as “a mod i made” for Ship of Harkinian, the open-source PC port of Ocarina of Time. Link plucks Pikmin seeds in Hyrule Field and uses them to kill Deku Babas from a distance, carry boulders, repair the bridge to Gerudo Valley and get thrown up to pieces of heart. Each colour keeps its weakness, so red Pikmin die in Lake Hylia and blue ones on Death Mountain. Time Extension and Zelda Dungeon both covered it.

It came back in October 2026, during the AI mashup wave. @_gmedley’s Instagram reel compiled Ocarina of Time mods “from 2024 BVC (before vibe coding)”, ending on this one, with a caption asking anyone who knows notCHase to get him to release it. It’s a conventional mod, one of a run of crossovers notCHase has built in Ship of Harkinian since 2023, including Halo, Samus’s arm cannon and Smash Bros. moves. None of them has been released.

FAQ

Can I download the Pikmin mod for Ocarina of Time?
No. As of 14 October 2026 notCHase hasn't released it. Time Extension reported in October 2024 that, like his other mods, it was only meant as a showcase. Ship of Harkinian itself is free, but needs your own Ocarina of Time ROM.
Was it made with AI?
No. It was posted in September 2024, two years before the AI mashup wave, and notCHase describes it simply as a mod he made for Ship of Harkinian.
